On page 204 of the biology textbook the answer to question 13 is marked:
b) forcing the diaphragm upward, 'increasing' thoracic size and causing a forced expiration.
I believe this is incorrect. Forcing the diaphragm upward would cause the thoracic size to decrease and cause a forced expiration.
The answer should be 'c'.
Please verify.

Yes, you are correct. The answer should be C since the upward movement of the diaphragm decreases the thoracic space for expiration. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will have that answer changed.
